Happy Christmas Eve everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday!  I thought I'd share my christmas mani that I prepped up for tomorrow.  It features Zoya's Cosmo for the accent nail, Julep's Dana for the base white, and Bissu Silver for the pinky nail.  Stamped with Mundo de Unas silver and white stamping polishes using Moyou London fairytale plates.

Another new julep-centric mani today!  For this one, I used Julep Dana as a base for the stamping patterns.  It is a black light reactive white creme with subtle blue shimmers.  The black is Julep Ledi, which applies as a beautiful smooth black creme.  For the pinky, I used Bergen, and the top coat for my ring finger is Percy.  Stamped using Pueen stamping plates and Mundo de Unas black stamping polish

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

My mani of the day features a gradient of colors from Julep, Amy, Misti, and Ledi.  I then stamped it with pueen cosmetic's love collection plates using Mundo de Unas black stamping polishes.  The triangle stud I picked up from The Nail Room, which is unfortunately closed :(
I recently purchased a few bottles of Lacquer Lust polishes a couple of weeks ago, and I am in looooooove with these polishes!  The application is perfectly smooth, the colors gorgeous and vibrant.  This color is Peacock'd Blocked, a thermal duochrome that shifts from turquoise to a darker teal.

So over this past weekend, I attended a wedding in Toronto and did this manicure for the event.  This manicure features 2 of Lacquer Lust's polishes, Butt Bootie Naked and The Bare Naked Truth.  These two polishes were some of the best I've used, perfectly smooth and easy application, great coverage, and beautiful colors!  Stamped with Mundo de Unas special white stamping polish, using Pueen stamping plates.

I was perusing my indie nail polish collection and stumbled upon this guy, Flushed by Cult Nails.  This was the first indie brand polish that I purchased and am still absolutely in love with this color!  I used to wear it almost exclusively, but then stopped for a while as I began my nail polish obsession... but revisiting this color reminded me why I love cult nails so much.  Perfectly smooth application, beauuuuuuutiful color, great wear, just all around a fantastic formula to work with.

Good evening!  I have a couple of new manicures to share today while I'm working on palettes for a new collection of polishes.  This first one is done using Diamond Cosmetic's Joust for Kicks and Dirty and Flirty.  Stamped with Pueen Cosmetics Love collection using Mundo de Unas gold stamping polish, and accented with OPI Honey Ryder

The colors for this polish are Julep's Paulette and Ariana, stamped with Mundo de Unas stamping polishes using moyou london explorer collection plates.  The studs are from the nail room which is unfortunately closing :(  I really loved their collections so I'm sad to see them go

So I've been a julep maven subscriber for about a year now, and have accumulated a rather large amount of julep polishes that I haven't really gotten around to using :x  So!  I opened up my dedicated-to-julep helmer drawer and basked in all the glorious colors last night.  I don't know why I haven't played around with the julep polishes more, I do really love their polishes and the subscription boxes are a fun way to try new colors that I wouldn't normally purchase.  They always have great consistency and wear, and apply so beautifully, so I decided to do my mani this weekend using just julep colors. This gradient is done with Julep Colette, Sera, and Padma.  I then stamped it using Mundo de Unas special black polish with Pueen's encore stamping plates.  Rhinestones were from the born pretty store

Another manicure using Seer's Sight from my recently launched Mystics collection! I've grown quite fond of this color as a base for nail art, along with Enchantress' Kiss.

For this design, I stamped using Pueen's Encore collection plates and Mundo de Unas special white polish.  The tips are Bissu's light gold, and the accent finger is Zoya's Godiva.

I have been starting to prototype some new colors for Lillibun, I hope to be able to share some this weekend!  This next set of colors will be on the darker, more mature side.  I can't wait to show them!

Thursday, September 25, 2014

Good morning everyone!  I will be going on vacation from today until Monday, all orders of Lillibun polishes have already been sent out though.  Any new orders will be sent first thing Monday.

Anyhoo wanted to share the mani that I will be wearing on my mini vacation, for this I used Diamond Cosmetic's Metallic Blue as a base.  The gold/silvery shimmer polish is Golden Shimmer by Pop Polish, stamped with Moyou London's Pro plates.  The accent finger is topped with Julep's Percy!

My apologies for the lack of updates, I have had a tumultuous month but as things are starting to slow down, hopefully I will be consistently updating with new designs and polish colors.  I wanted to share a few designs that I did this week though, this first one was done using Zoya's Minka as a based.  I then sponged over Essie Vermouth, and then stamped it using Pueen's stamping plates and mundo de unas stamping polishes.  The ring was one that I picked up at the renegade craft fair a couple of months ago, the designer can be found here:  http://www.reneefrances.com/

This one is another sponge mani, using Zoya's Dove as a base.  I then sponged OPI Uh-oh Roll down the window and Julep Roc Solid.  Stamped with mundo de unas polish using stamping plates from Red Angel.

This final one features Zoya's Marley and Faye (I absolutely adore Faye >_<!)  stamped with Pueen stamping plates using mundo de unas polishes.

Happy Friday everyone!  It's been a while since I've posted a mani, it's been a rather tumultuous period of my life but things are finally settling in and I should be returning to the nail art world.  The giveaway for the full set of Mystics polishes was a success, and they will be on their way to their new happy home shortly!  Meanwhile I'm finishing up the last 2 features of lillibun mystics colors in time for store launch this weekend.  It's been an exciting process and I am thankful for all of the support and kindness the community has shown me along the way.

For today's manicure, I used Seer's Sight as a base.  Shown above are 2 coats with top coat.  On my accent finger, I stamped it using Moyou London's suki collection plates, with mundo de unas white stamping polish.  Then dotted some gold accents with Bissu light gold.  The textured square stud is from the nail room

I'm a little sad that I had to cut my nails before finishing these mystic feature manicures, but I had a bit of a break -cry-  also I neglected my cuticles for a couple of days while things were going on, and it sure showed... I'll be packing my lush lemony flutter to work for a while

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Good morning everyone!  Sorry that I haven't posted the last 2 colors for the Mystics collection yet, with the moyou 20k challenge going on, I haven't found enough time to do all of the designs.  I wanted to share with you 2 of my entries though for the orange and yellow themes.  First up, orange:

I actually ended up being rather fond of this mani and am sort of sad that I only got to wear it for like.. an hour.  I had to go and buy orange polishes for this because I didn't actually own any bright oranges, so I grabbed Sally Hensen's 'Play Koi' for the base, and sponged a little Diamond Cosmetic's 'Lady luck' over it and Ulta's 'Oh!' for a little bit more dimension.  I stamped it using Moyou pro collection plates 02 and 08, with Mundo de Unas stamping polishes.  The square rhinestone studs are also from Moyou

As for my yellow manicure, I was a bit limited as I also only had one yellow color... this one is Revlon's Summer Grass.  I find it really difficult to work with yellow for some reason so I'm not so keen on how this turned out.  Simple black and white stamping using moyou pro collection plates, and some dotting with Enchantress' Kiss

Monday, August 25, 2014

Getting caught up on moyou's 20k mani challenge, this one's my entry for today's Red theme (cutting it close at 11:40 pm eep!).  Colors used are Sorcerer's Flame, Zoya's Minka, and stamped with Mundo de Unas polishes usig the pro collectiog 02 and 04 plates.  More to come soon
4 down, 2 to go!  Today I am showcasing Druid's Slumber from the Mystics collection.  I used 2 coats for this manicure, and it applied perfectly smooth and opaque!  This color is kind of a muted emerald in tone, with coppery flecks that give it just a bit of sparkle.  Today is rather overcast in the bay area, so the muted color actually seems to go well with the day wee :)

As for the design, I used moyou london's pro collection plates with mundo de unas stamping polish.

Also if you haven't already seen it, moyou london is holding a contest on their instagram to celebrate 20k followers!  I am quite excited to participate in it, though it means i'll be doing 3 manicure designs tonight.... egahh.  Expect a lot of images tomorrow >_<

Oracle's Blessing making another appearance!  This color is my favorite of the mystics collection, a deep blue packed with aquamarine sparkles (that cameras refuse to pick up.  If the sun comes out, I'll have to take a shot outside to see if I can capture it).  In some lighting situations, it also has a purple-ish undertone, though it is pretty subtle.  It is highly pigmented, going completely opaque in 2 coats.  It applies really easily, and so much sparkle squee!

For this manicure, I decided to do something really simple to let the polish stand out more.  I simply brushed on some Bissu silver, and accented it with half dome studs from the bornprettystore.

Saturday, August 23, 2014

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I am sharing with you the second of a series of manicures, each centered around a polish of my new Mystics collection, launching in September.  This one is Sorcerer's Flame, one of my favorite colors to use.  It is very vibrant and slightly translucent, which makes the color shift slightly dependent on how many coats you use.  At 2 coats, it's more of a candy apple red, but at 3 coats, it leans more towards oxblood in color.  It has some red and copper flecks in it to add just a bit of dimension and sparkle.

For this manicure, I decided to do some simple stamping with Mundo de Unas gold stamping polish, using plates from Pueen's Love collection.  For the pinky, I accented it with a couple of half orb gold studs from the bornprettystore and painted the tips with Essie's Good as Gold.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and I look forward to sharing the next color tomorrow!

Ermigad it's been over a week since I last painted my nails @_@  It feels good to have polished fingers again!  Anyhoo, I've officially launched the giveaway for a full set of mystics polishes over on my instagram @Lillibun.  To help promote it, I've decided to do a mani a day focusing on each of the colors.  First up is Enchantress' Kiss, which is a creme off white.  This is my blank slate color, I don't normally like to use pure white as a base color for nail art since it can feel a bit jarring some times so the slight tint of this shade makes it a preferred base for me.  2 coat application shown here!  Stamped using Red Angel plates and Bissu metallic red.  Also painted the undersides of my nails which you can see on the thumb ish :p

MIA from instagram for a little bit

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to make a quick post to say that I am back from vacation, but my phone is having some...technical difficulties and I can't open instagram on it.  Even after resetting it to factory default, my apps won't launch so I can't post until I get that resolved.  However, as soon as I am back up and running, I will be having a giveaway of a set of full size bottles of the Mystics Collection!  Stay tuned, I am trying to get everything resolved as quickly as possible.

Thursday, August 14, 2014

Good morning everyone!  I will be going on vacation starting this evening, so I won't be around until next week.  I have one last mani to show you before I depart though, it took me a while to decide what I wanted to do and commit to wearing it for a several days, but here it is.  The colors used in this are Lillibun's Oracle's Blessing, Seer's Sight, and Enchantress' Kiss!  I then stamped it using Mundo de Unas white stamping polish and Moyou London's pro collection plates.  The stud is from the nail room.  Also had to photograph the cinderalla hand today, my left hand suffered a little scrape so this vacation is well timed to give it some room to heal.  Cinderalla hand has some messy edges though, I am terrible at controlling the nail polish brush with my left hand ><

Monday, August 11, 2014

Tonight's manicure features Zoya's Sailor, stamped with Bissu Light Purple Metallics using Pueen Love collection stamps.  I'm experimenting with some different lighting positions and a new top coat.  I've originally used Seche Vite almost exclusively, but decided to give INM's fast dry top coat a try.  So far I looooove the finish!

Lillibun Mystics Collection

Hello everyone!  I wanted to share with you the first batch of Lillibun's Mystics Collection that will be up for sale early September!  All swatches shown here are 2 coats with top coat.  First up, I want to share with you my favorite of the collection:

Oracle's Blessing

Oracle's Blessing is a rich blue polish with teal/green interference sparkles.  It's difficult to capture on swatches but the bottle shows the sparkles better.  It applies easily and has great coverage at 2 coats.

Seer's Sight

Seer's Sight, a creamy powder blue polish with full coverage at 2 coats.  The formula is very rich and applies smoothly, it dries to a semi glossy finish but is perfectly shiney with top coat!

Sorcerer's Flame

This polish is a really vibrant candy apple red, with gold interference flecks.  In light, the sparkles tends to give it an orangeish highlight.  Very smooth application with a glossy finish

Druid's Slumber

This polish is probably the thinnest of the formulas, but still provides full coverage at 2 coats.  Also a smooth glossy finish.  It's an emerald green polish with gold interference

Enchantress' Kiss

This color is a really rich, creamy off white polish.  It has very subtle shimmer to it, but in general is just a nice base for nail art application.  It's quite pigmented and opaque at 2 coats.

Witch's Hex

Witch's Hex is a deep royal purple with blue interference sparkles.  The blue really comes to life in sunlight or in direct flashes. Otherwise it shows as a rich purple color

It's been a little while since I did reverse stamping, I kind of miss it!  This manicure used... a lot of colors, here's the list:

Base - Zoya Minka, Diamond Cosmetics How Rude and Dirty & Flirty
Stamping Polish - Mundo de Unas white polish
Reverse stamp colors - Lillibun Druid's Slumber, Essie's Good as Gold, and Julep's Carrie

Stamping plate used is from Moyou's Suki Collection.

Coming this weekend will be swatches and photos of the final formulas for all of my Mystics Collection!  I can't wait to share them with you!

Wednesday, August 6, 2014

I'm really excited to show off the final batch of Witch's Hex today!  This color always tends to photograph navy blue, but it's really more of a dark royal purple color with blue sparkles.  After a few reformulation attempts, I've finally gotten it to a consistency that I'm happy with.  I used 2 coats for this manicure, and it's fully opaque though swatching on nail spoons required 3 coats.  Only one more nail polish to go, then I'm ready to start shipping out some sample boxes and prepping the store for launch!!

Tuesday, August 5, 2014

LadyofLacquer over at Instagram has been hosting the mani marathon, where every few days, a different nail artist will submit a manicure as inspiration that other nail artists recreate for fun.  It's a very casual group but a great idea for trying new things.  Today I was chosen to submit a nail design to recreate.  I'm typically someone who stamps... a lot...but I didn't want to create a design that was stamping reliant, so I decided to try my hand at the quatrefoil.  Unfortunately, I still don't have a lot of control with nail polish free handed -_-  So it came out quite a bit messy.. and this was something like the 4th attempt before I resigned myself to sleep.

Sunday, August 3, 2014

I decided to experiment a bit tonight and tried free handing a design instead of relying on stamps.  Ermigad, freehand painting in nail polish is tricky... it never quite does what I want, builds weird lumps, doesn't blend, aaagh!  Wellp I'm glad I gave it a try, don't think I'll be revisiting this until I get a set of acrylics to worth with instead.

Buuuuut I do want to talk about the colors a bit, this features Lillibun's Enchantress' Kiss and Druid's Slumber!  Druid's Slumber has gone through a final formula pass and I am now pretty happy with the way it works.  Super easy application, good opacity, and has a more mystical foresty feel now.  Hope you guys like it too!

Kicking off August with a high contrast mani design.  Polishes used are Lillibun's Enchantress' Kiss with Chanel's Black Satin.  Stamping polishes are from Mundo de Unas, and the stamping plates are from Pueen's Love collection.  I received a couple of Chanel polishes as a gift from my mother, they really are amazing formulas!  I created this mani for the nail art august challenge on Instagram, the prompt for August 1st was 'Classy'.
