So I have 2 manis to share with you today!  The first one was a 1 am insomnia nail art dealio that I'm not totally satisfied with but thought I'd share any ways.  It's done with Essie Cocktail Bling, Lillibun Enchantress' Kiss, stamped with Mundo de Unas polishes using Pueen Cosmetic plates

This second one is Zoya's Sailor, stamped with Mundo de Unas silver polish using Moyou London pro collection, and embellished with muy rhinestone shineyness!

Just a simple stamping manicure for today.  The base color for this is my favorite color from Julep, 'Bergette.'   It's a beautiful blue creme with just the faintest hint of silver shimmer.  I stamped it using Moyou London's Pro Collection plate with Mundo de Unas Cream stamping polish.  For the index finger, I used Zoya's Godiva, my go to color for when I just want a neutral texture polish.

I'm starting to get things together for a big post this coming weekend where I should have 3 final batches made of Lillibun polishes, that I will be sharing swatches of soon.  Stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway when this is all set, aaaaand I will be looking for swatchers soon!

I did this manicure last night but have been too busy to photograph and upload it, but I am glad I waited because my boyfriend and I went to the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco this afternoon and I found this ring that goes beautifully with this manicure!  The ring is by Nikki Montoya, her site can be found at http://nikkimontoya.com/  She has gorgeous jewelry designs, I'm definitely glad I went and was able to pick this beauty up!

About this manicure, the blue used is Lillibun's Oracle's Blessing, a polish that I made myself and am aiming to launch in September.  The white is OPI's Alpine Snow, and it is then stamped with Mundo de Unas' gold stamping polish using a plate from Pueen's stamping buffet collection.

My boyfriend was also sharing some photography tips and tricks with me today, so I'm steadily trying to improve the presentation aspect of these manicures.  I'm getting quite happy with the new results!

Now I'm going to return to squeeing at this ring :D  I also picked up a couple of others from the fair, I'll probably share them in future posts.

Oracle's Blessing

So today, I am excited to announce the first batch of Lillibun polishes that is ready to go for launch in September!  Thank you everyone who has been giving me feedback and suggestions along the way, this has been a tremendous learning experience.  In any case, the first polish to be ready is Oracle's Blessing!

Shown here, 2 thin coats with top coat.  Oracle's Blessing is a rich blue packed with lighter blue/green sparkles.  It is quite opaque and easy to apply.

Close up show to show off the sparkly goodness.  Full size bottles from with a flat wide brush for easy application.  Both full size and mini bottles will launch in September, along with the rest of the Mystics collection.  Thank you everyone for all of your support!  I can't wait to share more soon

Good evening everyone! I've been in a very purple phase lately and decided to break it by trying my hand at a red manicure.  Though I love love looooove the color red, I always find it difficult to wear... it tends to attract a lot of attention and I usually don't feel like I can pull it off.  However, I think I am quite fond of this one and will see how it takes over the next couple of days.  For this manicure, I used Cult Nails' Bitten as a base.  This is the first indie brand polish that I ever purchased over a year ago, and sadly, this is also the first time I've ever opened it.  I fell in love with the color, but it was so vibrant that I was a bit overwhelmed by the color.  It is a truly remarkable shade and formula though, it went fully opaque in 2 coats and has a magenta/raspberry sparkle to it when it catches light.

For the accent nail, I used Dovima Matte by Zoya.  My camera's flash is making it look kind glossy when it really isn't, but what's gorgeous about this shade is that it does have some faint sparkles that give it a bit of an added dimension.

Finally, I stamped this with Bissu Gold's polish which my boyfriend gifted to me from Mundo de Unas' website, using Pueen's love collection.  The gold studs are from the born pretty store.

Also experimenting with a black backdrop for my light box instead of white... still contemplating if I like it :x  Also using flash instead of strictly bounce lights, I think it helps catch the sparkles that some of these polishes have better.

My manicure today, using Polished by KPT's Vanda as a base and stamped with Mundo de Unas stamping polishes.  Vanda is one of my favorite polishes that I own, and I highly recommend Polished by KPT's collections for thermal polish fans.  My hands tend to be colder than most people so this stayed in its purple shade for most of the day, I had to massage my hands a bit to get it warm enough to trigger the color shift so pardon the bit of red on the photo of my fingers, that was due to trying to warm up my hands.

As for Mundo de Unas stamping polishes, this was my first try at using them and I am quite impressed!  The images came out super clean and clear, and also stayed quite well when applying top coat.  No more smudgies!  It's true that they have a strong odor though so if you are sensitive to smells, it can be a bit intense.  For me however, the results are well worth it!

The stamp I used for this manicure is from Pueen's Encore collection.

Hope you all enjoy!

Epiccc nail mail from Mundo de Unas!  I've been seeing a lot of posts about Mundo de Unas' stamping polish, all of which speak very positively about them.  Thus, after dropping some -cough- subtle hints -cough- my boyfriend decided to order me a batch of these polishes for my birthday!! :D!  I can't wait to give them a try, and will be posting results when I do them.

Keeping today's mani of the day quite simple.  The purple I used for this is from Color Club, but the name isn't on the bottle so I'm sorry that I don't know which color it is exactly.  I did a gradient to white using OPI's Alpine Snow, and decorated it with simple clear rhinestones that I got from Thailand near where my grandparents live, they do not have a brand associated with them.  The stamp is from Moyou's pro collection, number 08.  Hope you all like it!

Patina Mani

So I've been going through a bit of a slump, and along with that, a bit of nail art block.  As such, I started bugging one of my friends for ideas and he gave me an image of patina'd copper to draw inspiration from.  I attempted a textured effect for my ring finger, but it shows up rather subtly on camera.  Polishes are from Diamond Cosmetics, Orly, OPI and Essie.  The ring finger stud is from BMC.  Textured ridges on ring finger are uh...dental floss ^^;

Sadly progress with Lillibun Lacquers has been a little bit delayed due to my crunch at work being extended by a couple of weeks.  I have been setting myself weekly goals to keep on with steady progress though, this weekend will be dedicated to setting up the labels and getting my bottles all set.  Speaking of which, I've decided to go with a square bottle with wide brushes for the full size bottles :)  I'm pretty excited about the wide brushes, that has been my biggest gripe about the mini bottles... teeny brushes..

Any ways!  I'm also trying to keep consistent on continuing to do nail art, so here's my mani for the day!  I wanted to do my own take on the vintage floral motif.  This one was a lot of experimenting and though the roses on my middle finger came out sloppy, I kind of like the final result.  The base color for this one is Lillibun Seer's Sight.  White accents are OPI's Alpine Snow, and the pink is Essie Vermouth.  I then hand dabbed on some lighter pink using OPI's Sweet Heart to give it a little more pop.  Stamp used is from Pueen's Encore collection.  Hope you all like it!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend.  I just wanted to share a new mani design today, this one using Zoya Sailor as a base and stamped using Pueen SE04B.  The flower color is Julep's Karen.  In retrospect, I wish I chose a darker color for the stamp so that the flower patterns stood out more, but my stamping colors are quite limited.  Hoping that will change soon as I placed an order for about 27 polishes from Mundo de Unas :D  Can't wait for them to arrive!

Good evening everyone!  I've been slacking on updating this blog lately due to working lots of overtime for a crunch period at work but I wanted to share a couple of manis today!  Those who follow my instagram have already seen this first one:

I was in a super cutesy mood so I reverse stamped a little sheep from Moyou's Princess collection, did laceys from Pueen's Stamping Buffet collection, and my first dotticure attempt on the pinky.  I was surprised how easy the dotticure was and am pretty pleased how it came out!

My mani for today, I saran stamped the base with a base of OPI I Saw.. U Saw.. We Saw.. Warsaw, layered with I have a Herring Problem and Golden Rules!  Then stamped with Konad's special white polish using Pueen's just-launched Encore stamping collection!  Super excited about this collection and hope to be able to post more about it as soon as this crunch is over.
