My butterfly themed notd for Moyou's 10k challenge!  I'm quite happy with how this one turned out and will probably be doing it again after the challenge to wear it for a few days.  Base color is Julep's Florence, sponged with Diamond Cosmetics' Dirty & Flirty and Joust for Kicks.  Then stamped Mash special black polish using Moyou suki collection 07 and colored with Julep's Jeanne and Essie's Showstopper

Good morning everyone!

Today's moyou 10k challenge theme of the day is color, so following is my entry for the challenge.  This one uses a lot of colors...let's see here.  Julep's Susie, Charlotte, Misti, Gloria, Lynn, and Eva along with OPI's Alpine Snow.  Stamped with Moyou Sailor Collection 04 using Essie's good as gold.

My Texture themed notd, also serving as an experiment for layering liquid sands.  It turned out to be a really interesting experiment that I wish I could capture better in photo, the finished result actually looks more like liquid silver than it does in pictures.  In any case, I did a gradient base of Zoya Raven and Dove with OPI Alpine snow, and brushed a layer of OPI Solitaire over it for this effect.  Then stamped with MASH special black polish using Moyou pro collection 04

Happy Memorial day everyone!  I hope you are all having a lovely holiday weekend.  I've been late on uploading these to the blog, mainly because I've been moving and didn't have my pc set up.  In any case, here are a couple of new manis!

This one was for the fire and ice theme for moyou10k's challenge.  It ended up a little messy, I was in a rush ><  But colors used were Zoya Raven, OPI Alpine Snow, and Diamond Cosmetics Bite Me along with my own custom made blue.  I am in the process of starting my own line of polishes, though I am still very on and in an experimental phase but you might see some of the creations in my upcoming manis from here!  Stamps are Moyou Suki Collection 01 and 04

My design for Moyou's movie-themed notd.  I chose to go with Lion King, and used Julep's Jeanne and Lynne for the gradient.  The brown is my own creation, stamped with Essie Good as Gold and Mash special black polish with moyou stamp explorer collection 10 and greek collection 05.  The lighting at my new place also lets in a lot of direct sunlight for photography... definitely need to invest in a light box soon D:

Just a simple mani for today!  The nudey color is Julep's Florence, and the matte black is Zoya's Dovima.  Stamped with konad special white using Moyou suki plates 02 and 04

I just wanted to do a simple mani this time as it seemed appropriate for the floral theme for today's Moyou10k challenge.  The base color is Essie's Cocktail bling, stamped with Moyou pro collection 07 using Konad special white polish.  For the pinky, I used OPI's Solitaire

Fashion themed notd for Moyou's 10k challenge!  Had a busy day yesterday so I couldn't spend a whole lot of time on this mani, so kept it pretty simple.  Colors are Essie's Good as Gold and Julep's Paulette, stamped with Moyou suki collection 04 and 07!

My favorite mani yet!  This one for the cute them for Moyou's 10k challenge.  The base colors are OPI's Alpine Snow and I Have a Herring Problem, with Julep's Jeanne.  The pixie dust is Zoya's Vega.  Stamped with moyou plates Fairytale collection 06 and Princess collection 03.  I definitely want to recreate this look some day, sad to have to take it off for tomorrow's challenge!

2 manis one day!  Another NOTD for Moyou's 10k challenge, this one for the sci-fi theme.  Colors are Zoya Cosmo for the pixie dust (I love love love this polish >_<!)  with Zoya Dillon and Opi Charmed by a Snake for the gradient.  Stamped with konad special black polish using Moyou's scifi plate collection 06

My moyou 10k NOTD.  Base colors are Zoya Dove and Dahlia, stamped with konad special black and white polishes.  Topped with diamond cosmetics Pay Up, and stamped with Moyou's Greek collection 06

My mani of the day!  It turned a bit more fantasy esque than what I visualized in my head, but it's for the moyou theme of the day 'fun'.  Supposed to be a mermaid playing with a dolphin.  Based gradient colors used are OPI I saw... U saw... we saw... warsaw, Essie mesmerized, and a color club light blue (color name isn't on the bottle unfortunately.).  The glitter coat is from indie polish developer Fancromatic Nails, and the color is Save the Princess.  Stamped with Essie Good as gold, with Moyou Fairytale collection 02 and Sailor collection 04.  Hope you all enjoy!

Hey everyone!  So today's moyou theme of the day for their 10k challenge is 'Love', and I spent quite a bit of time thinking about what I wanted to do for it.  I got the nail shield in chinatown while I was in Thailand visiting my grandparents, it has no brand associated with it so I unfortunately can't really provide a source to get them.  It's my first time using nail stamps as well so I'm just hoping it stays on for the day >_<  It's a weird feeling but I can hear it click when I type.  It's also strangely satisfying :D

The base polishes used though are Zoya's Sailor, and one of color club's purple and silver glitter, but their names are not listed on the bottle.  Stamped with Konad's special white, using moyou plates Greek Collection 05 and Fairytale collection 02.

My manicure of the day, for moyou's 10 k challenge of the tv show theme.  I decided to go with game of thrones, drawing from the night watch as reference.  Base color is Zoya's dove, while the pinky nail polish color is from indie developer Funchromatic nails and is also inspired by game of thrones.  The polish color is called Dire Wolf.  Polishes used to stamp are Konad's special black and white stamping polishes, and the nail stamps are moyou's explorer collection 19 and pro collection 05

This mani came out more princess-y than I had imagined in my head >_<  Any ways, my childhood-themed NOTD for Moyou's 10k challenge!  I chose to go with the recurring childhood dream of flying above the clouds.  Base colors used are a gradient of Julep's Sylvia to Audrey, topped with another coat of Audrey.  Stamped with Konad's special white polish using Moyou plates Princess collection 03 and Suki collection 04.  Pinky is OPI Pussy Galore.

I've been looking forward to this mani for a while, waiting for an opportunity to do a manicure based on my favorite clothing brand Angels Never Die.  The brand is actually very well suited for coordinating stamped manicures, since they use a lot of patterns similar to ones found in moyou stamps coincidentally :p  Colors used for this one are Essie's Vermouth and Orly's Rapture.  I used the plastic bag nail decal method to get the scales on to of the roses.  Hope you enjoy!

My geometric themed mani for Moyou's 10k challenge.  The metallic color is Zoya's Cassedy, while the grey is Zoya's Dove.  The stamp is from Moyou's explorer plate collection 19

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

So I did this mani for moyou's 10,000 follower challenge.  Their theme of the day is 'red'.  I never really wear red polish because it's a bit..bold for my taste so this theme was a bit of a challenge for me, but I ended up really enjoying it and the results!  At first I had actually kept the accent nail red and stamped a white mask on it, but the contrast was too distracting, so I switched over to one of Zoya's pixie dusts.

As far as colors used, the red is OPI's 'Bogota Blackberry' stamped with Pop Beauty's 'Gold Shimmer'.  The accent nail is Zoya's Dahlia, set with moyou's square rhinestones.  The stamp is also from moyou, explorer collection 19.  Hope you all enjoy!

Another daily mani for Moyou's 10k challenge.  For the fantasy theme, I decided to try a dragon in the sky, but ended up liking the sky mani version more.  Here are both any ways though:

Colors used for the gradient are Julep's Susie, Jeanne, and Misti.  The stamp used is Moyou Suki plate collections 07 and 02.

My second entry for Moyou's 10k challenge, this one is for the animal print theme.  I decided to go with a peacock feathers, hope you all like!

Following are a collection of some of my older, favorite manis.  Hope you enjoy!

First post! Nature NOTD for Moyou 10k Challenge

I have been meaning to start this nail blog for quite some time, and the moyou 10k challenge gave me the motivation to get this started.  I've been doing nail art for about a year now, and have been greatly enjoying exploring new techniques, patterns, and color variations.  I hope you all enjoy!
